Building a Business that Lasts

Jay Owen Business Tips 2 Comments

Lots of people start businesses, but only a select few last the test of time.

In fact, most businesses don’t make it past the 5-year mark. But what separates those that last from those that don’t? That is the primary topic of conversation on the new podcast hosted by Design Extensions founder Jay Owen. On each episode, Jay interviews another business owner who has been in business for 10, 20, and sometimes 30 years or more. They talk about everything from team building to company debt, managing cashflow, marketing, and much more.

  1. Wow well said, a lot of businesses do not make it past the 5 year mark. Sometimes it can be due to mismanaging cash like you said Jay, or not marketing to customers that need your service when i first started with the company i am at they were doing door hangers and passing out business cards and advertising on yellow pages magazines and newspapers now we have moved to online marketing.
